If your first attempt to pair a lock results in an error, you will need to exclude that lock and then try to pair once more. 


Follow these instructions to correct this.  You may see this in your install tool:

Interacting with the lock 

  1. Exclude the lock

    1. Click the orange wrench icon in the install.nternow.com tool

    2. Select Exclude device

      1. On your Kwikset lock, press the “A” button 

      2. On your Schlage lock, press "Schlage", enter 6-digit programming code, press 0

    3. This will clear the hub and lock so that you can proceed and attempt to pair them again


Pair your lock to the NterNow hub 

  1. Click the wrench icon again

    1. Add Device

    2. Follow your Kwikset / Schlage / Yale lock instructions for connecting the lock to the network

  2. You will get a confirmation that the device has paired

  3. If you receive an error
    1. Tap the wrench and select Z-wave Reset

    2. Factory Reset your lock (see your manual for instructions)

    3. Try once again to "Add device"

  4. Enable showings by Activating the Property

    1. Even if you have Activated the property, you will want to do this step again after a factory reset. This will ensure that your automation codes are set on your lock

    2. Select Activate Property in our Install Tool.


      • Login using your NterNow credentials (firstname.lastname

      • Select your Community

      • Select the created Property from the list and Allow Location Services on your device

      • Verify the serial number found on the bottom of the Smart Home Hub (920xxxxx) 
      • Press Activate
